More than 3,000 government hospital doctors in Haryana commenced an indefinite strike, demanding the creation of a separate cadre for specialists, reduction of bond amounts, internal promotions for senior medical officers, and a dynamic ACP scheme. Contingency plans involving retired doctors, medical students, and paramedics ensured that initial OPD services were unaffected. Health Minister Kamal Gupta indicated that the proposal to reduce the bond amount was forwarded for further consideration.
