A SELF-PROCLAIMED beauty investigator has been wowed by a Dollar Tree range that’s strikingly similar to a popular skincare brand.
She said one of the $1.25 products from the line “drastically” improved the appearance of her skin.
Nina Pool (@ninaghoulina) boasts almost 2 million followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty hacks.
She went viral on the social media app when she raved about a serum bought from Dollar Tree.
“There is a whole line of Ordinary dupes at the 5 quarter store, the Dollar Tree,” she said.
“Not a lot of people are talking about it.
“I have one product from that line that I need to speak on because this product is changing my skin drastically.
“This is a remedy for acne scars.”
Nina showed the uneven texture and discoloration on her cheek before continuing to explain the skin concern she was targeting with the product.
“I have indented scars and hyperpigmentation,” she said, pointing at different areas of her face.
“Those are tattoos I gave to myself during the freckle craze. Don’t worry about it.
“Recently I started using this Ordinary dupe, it even looks like the Ordinary.
“It is the Skin Nutritions Botanicals Double Strength Retinol Night Repair Serum.
“This is going to help us to regenerate our skin and have a higher turnover rate.
“This is oil-free, silicon-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free.”
Nina reassured her followers that they could find the same budget-friendly product on Amazon if they couldn’t find it in their local Dollar Tree.
Almost 57,000 people liked the video and took to the comment section grateful for the recommendation.
“I love The Ordinary’s products! Guess I’m heading to 5 quarter store, thank you,” one person said.
“Nina Pool you’re my new hero I love my duparoonie queen, you’re awesome,” another said.
