WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- A freight train derailment west of Dodge City has canceled Amtrak Train 3 and Amtrak Train 4.
According to BNSF, a train derailed in Charleston (located between Dodge City and Garden City) at approximately 3:45 p.m. There were no injuries and no threats to the public. The cause is under investigation.

No alternative transportation is being provided by Amtrak.
"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience," Amtrak says.

The Naabs say they took their photos of the freight train derailment 15-20 miles east of Garden City on U.S. Highway 50.
