BAYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man accused of fatally shooting a man and then stealing a cellphone from another man in Queens on Thursday, according to the NYPD.
It happened across the street from Bayside High School in Bayside around 1 a.m. A 43-year-old man was shot in the left side of the head and pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
A second victim, a 21-year-old man, had his phone stolen during the same incident, per police. He was not injured.
The suspect, wearing all black, fled the scene in a Subaru, according to authorities.
The phone was later found on the Clearview Expressway service road at 26th Avenue, sources told PIX11 News.
