'Liar!' Trump faces revolt even from some Truth Social users for Project 2025 denials
Donald Trump inadvertently admitted Wednesday that his connection to the notorious Project 2025 agenda is "fact" and triggered an eruption of rage on his own social media site.
Trump trigged the backlash by trying to distance himself from the powerful Heritage Foundation's policy platform, which is currently pulling in dreadful polling numbers as more Americans become aware of plans to consolidate presidential power and dismantle federal agencies.
"I have nothing to do with, and know nothing about, Project 25," Trump wrote. "The fact that I do is merely disinformation put out by the Radical Left Democrat Thugs. Do not believe them!"
The fact is that at least 140 people who once worked for Trump were involved in crafting the 900-plus page document, as CNN reports.
It's also fact that video shows Trump praising the Heritage Foundation's plans in April 2022.
“This is a great group, and they’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do and what your movement will do when the American people give us a colossal mandate to save America," Trump told the Heritage Foundation.

This may be why his followers on Truth Social were infuriated by his less-than-convincing claim.
"Yet so many of your former staff members are part of the Heritage Foundation," Truth Social user @Nachodaddy64 replied. "You know good and well that Project 2025 is not only maga-fueled, it is also hugely unpopular with Americans. Have the day you deserve bitch!"
"Donald, you are a f---ing liar!!" replied @kayemmann.
"Really????" wrote Alfred E. Neuman. "Why then did all these authors work for you and why did you promote it on stage..Nice try."
