India and the United Kingdom launched a 'Technology Security Initiative' to enhance their strategic partnership, announced during UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy's visit. Coordinated by National Security Advisors, the initiative will prioritize critical and emerging technologies, with progress reviewed biannually. A bilateral mechanism to promote tech trade will be established, addressing licensing and regulatory issues.
