EE customers receive free access to nine premium sports channels and streaming service for a limited time

EE is offering selected customers a free upgrade for the next couple of weeks to mark a special sporting occasion.

It’ll include access to some premium channels and a streaming service.

The channels in question are Eurosport and Discovery+, the app for streaming everything from the station.

But it’s only available to EE TV customers with Discovery+ basic.

Normally you would have to pay extra to access Eurosport but for the duration of the Olympics it’ll be available at no extra cost.

Eurosport is offering 24/7 coverage of the Games, with more than 3,800 hours of live programmes and over 55 live event feeds across all 19 days of competition.

The broadcaster has launched extra pop up channels with live coverage of the event.

The full channel line-up includes:

• Eurosport HD
• Eurosport UHD
• Eurosport 3 HD
• Eurosport 4 HD
• Eurosport 5 HD
• Eurosport 6 HD
• Eurosport 7 HD
• Eurosport 8 HD
• Eurosport 9 HD

The free upgrade is available for a limited time, from today until August 12.

“After August 12th access to the content will no longer be available, including any recordings made from the Eurosport channels,” EE warned.

“For our Sport, Big Sport, Sport on Copper and Full Works customers (or customers who take our TNT Sports add on) who already have access to the Olympic coverage via their Premium subscription, you’ll see 7 extra Eurosport channels in the TV guide.”

For those without Eurosport, the BBC will continue to air coverage of course.

The broadcaster will show more than 250 hours of live Olympic events across BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

There will be one live channel as well as an Olympics Extra live stream on BBC iPlayer.
