CNN's John Berman mocked Sen. Tom Cotton's repeated attack on Vice President Kamala Harris live on CNN Wednesday.
The Arkansas Republican claimed Harris had carried out a "coup" against President Joe Biden, but repeatedly dodged Berman's questions about Donald Trump's role in the Jan. 6 insurrection. Instead, he repeatedly returned to bashing the vice president as a "San Francisco liberal."
"We've seen over the last 24 hours a line of attack coming from Republicans calling her a San Francisco liberal," Berman said. "I had Tom Cotton, the Arkansas Republican, on yesterday, and I want you to listen to how many times he said it in a short period of time."
Berman rolled a clip of Cotton spouting out the talking point five times, to which he appended the word "failed" in two instances.
"If that had been a drinking game, I would've been plastered by the end of that," Berman joked.

Harris seems to have quickly sewed up the Democratic nomination after President Joe Biden exited the presidential race Sunday and endorsed her. Republicans have struggled to land on a consistent theme to campaign against her.
Trump had been hitting the 81-year-old Biden over his age and fitness, but after Democratic concerns about those same issues eventually drove him from the campaign, the 78-year-old former president now faces the same questions as he becomes the oldest nominee in U.S. history.
A record number of younger voters have registered in the two days since Biden dropped out of the race and the Harris campaign reports that it hauled in more than $100 million in donations in the first day since its launch.
