Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he shared methods for improving hair health.
Collier said traction alopecia is a form of hair loss caused by repeatedly putting tension on locks, with “tight” hairstyles such as ponytails, braids, or buns.
“These styles can damage hair follicles and lead to thinning or bald spots,” he said.
He revealed low-tension hairstyles are “crucial” for reducing hair loss.
“Instead, opt for loose styles like soft waves or a relaxed, messy bun,” he said.
He suggested Jerome Russell BStyled Thickening Mousse for adding volume to hair.
“By giving the appearance of thicker hair, it helps camouflage thinning areas, boosting confidence whilst being gentle on the hair,” he said.
Collier said many of his clients have regained their confidence by using the right products to stimulate hair growth.
“Look for products enriched with Marula oil,” he said.
“Marula oil is excellent for moisturizing and protecting hair, thanks to its high content of antioxidants and essential fatty acids.”
He said oil serums can enhance hair vibrancy and shine, “it’s like a drink for your hair, making it look and feel healthier.”
He revealed oil isn’t the only home remedy for nurturing the health of locks.
“Massaging the scalp with natural oils like coconut oil or castor oil can stimulate blood circulation, which promotes hair growth,” he said.
“Additionally, using natural hair masks made from ingredients like eggs, yogurt, and honey can provide deep conditioning and nourishment.”
Collier said hair health is a “holistic journey” therefore it’s important to team the right products with a balanced diet.
“Products that provide professional results whilst being gentle and nourishing are your best friend in this process,” he said.

“A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly biotin, vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids, can support hair growth.
“Foods such as eggs, nuts, spinach, and fish are excellent choices.
“Supplements can also be beneficial, biotin supplements are particularly popular for strengthening hair and promoting growth.”
He recommended speaking to a doctor or nutritionist before starting a new supplement regimen.
Collier said the results from hair loss treatment can vary but it generally takes up to six months to see new growth.
“Embrace your natural hair, be patient, and consult with professionals when necessary to tailor a regimen that works best for you,” he said.
“Remember, healthy hair is beautiful hair, and taking steps to care for it is the best investment in yourself that you can make.”
