She made an appearance on The One Show last night to discuss her new novel, Once Upon a Time in Venice.

Carol revealed she was engaged to Steve Randall in May last year while live on the Chelsea Flower Show.
The happy couple tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in Cliveden House on December 27.
Speaking about her special day, the BBC Breakfast star admitted that not everything went according to plan.
She told Alex: “It was the perfect day, it was a small intimate wedding it was beautiful, very romantic but there was a storm, can you believe it? Storm Gerrit!”
“When we booked it, obviously it was a bit in advance, so we didn’t know there was going to be a storm.
“I was watching it in the lead up to the wedding, thinking: ‘Nooo!'”
Thankfully the bride and groom were so excited about their nuptials that they “didn’t even notice” the wind and rain.
Alex joked: “[That] is terrible when you work in weather, that is bad. But you looked super happy and super beautiful in that picture, congratulations!”
Carol previously spoke about the “sliding doors moment” when she met her husband, who is 14 years her junior.
In an interview for The Mail’s You Magazine, Carol detailed how she and Steve met at a work function almost seven years ago.
However, they met completely by chance, as neither of them planned to attend, only to both change their minds at the last minute.
She said: “I met Steve at a work function about seven years ago. I was drinking an espresso martini, and Steve very sensibly wasn’t drinking because he’s a policeman and had work the next day.
“We went on our first lunch date shortly after and had sandwiches and tea. It’s strange to think that neither of us had planned on going to the function, but we changed our minds at the last minute, and if one of us hadn’t, we’d never have met.”
