Simone Biles is opening up about her mental health.
The 27-year-old Olympian, who is the most decorated gymnast in history, is in Paris and will be competing in the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics.
This will mark her return to the big sporting event following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she dropped out of events to focus on her mental health.
Now, ahead of this year’s games, Simone is dishing on how she’s prioritizing her mental health and self-care.

“I am doing therapy weekly to keep everything in tune so that I feel comfortable and confident enough to be competing. It’s been a crucial part of my training regimen. I understand and realize I have to take care of my physical appearance as well as my mental,” Simone told Elle magazine.
Simone also dished that doing her hair is now part of her pre-competition routine and it helps to improve her confidence and and off the mat.
“I’m finally learning to love my hair and the texture that I have and the styles that I can do,” she shared. “I used to worry about [my hair being considered] not professional… But I’m not embarrassed about it anymore.”
