As expected, the ocean has subsided to near-lake like conditions. Your only hope of a grovel is to find a south magnet onto which the 0.75 metre, 8-sec period swell is focusing. Apart from the minimal energy, conditions are quite pleasant in a wintry way. Wind at 0730 was just a faint zephyr from the NNW, skies were slightly veiled by a thin layer of cloud and the BoM tells us to expect a high of 21. Tide was coming into the 1.44 m high at 0940. Beachwatch says pollution is unlikely and water’s on a brisk 17.
Outlook is for even smaller tomorrow and remaining micro until maybe Sunday morning when a fresh straight south pulse could make itself known…

A large high pressure system centred in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over New South Wales, driving northerly winds today. A cold front and its associated trough reach the coastal waters during Friday turning the winds westerly, with another trough moving along southern waters during Saturday.
