Good Tuesday Evening,
We have had a few showers and storms move across our area this afternoon. Some of these thunderstorms have been very good rain makers, dumping a 1/3" of rain or more in a short time to areas that need the rain. Tonight, we will turn mostly cloudy, with some patches of fog possible in areas that saw rain today, mainly east of the city, lows in the mid to upper 60s.
The next few days will be dominated by a slow moving boundary, that will spark off more chances of rain and storms in the afternoon hours on Wednesday and Thursday. Because of a drier start again, expect highs back in the mid to upper 80s on Wednesday. Just like today, some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rains as well.
Thursday the boundary will finally be pushing south across our area, this will still keep rain chances in the forecast with highs a couple of degrees cooler in the middle 80s. The rain chances will end by Thursday evening, setting up drier weather for Friday and the weekend.
Sunshine will return on Friday with a cooler start, we will still get back to normal in the middle 80s. Saturday should be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine, evening after a cooler start, we should have no problem pushing up into the upper 80s during the afternoon.
Sunday will be a touch hotter with clouds increasing late and highs near 90. We will have isolated showers and storms returning, mainly in the afternoon to early evening hours next week, as high pressure that was over us over the weekend will push south and east of us, leaving us on the moist side of the high. Temps will still remain in the upper 80s with plenty of humidity.
