BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Blue Eyed Baker in East Aurora is renovating.
Known for their homemade pastries and treats, the bakery will soon be serving dinner. Customers will be able to enjoy dinner and drinks from a rooftop patio atop the East Aurora staple. The second floor is expected to be finished in the coming months.
"There's just something so therapeutic and beautiful about working with your hands and baking from home," said Alexandria Robinson, the owner of Blue Eyed Baker.
For Robinson, who grew up in the village of East Aurora, she said baking was always a part of her family and her life. In April 2024, she and her husband Nick transformed an old garage into their dream bakery space for their business, Blue Eyed Baker.
"I used to walk by this building every day walking to school and it was always a dream of mine to open a bakery here and I guess I manifested it," Robinson said.
She said after living in Los Angeles, she wanted to share that type of pastry scene with Buffalo, and started baking in her own kitchen at home and serving at farmers markets.
Years later, their bakery now serves breakfast, lunch, pastries and soon dinners, that are all homemade.
"I'm so proud of everyone who works here and how hard everyone works and how much passion everyone has behind the brand and the vision," Robinson said. "Just day in and day out getting all of these beautiful creations made, from our savory food menu to our pastries, it really is a labor of love."
From macarons, to scones, to bagels and more, everything at Blue Eyed Baker is made completely from scratch.
