A BRITISH man, aged 45, has died in Cyprus after falling from his balcony in a luxury hotel.
The unnamed tourist was on holiday with friends in Paphos, on the southwest of the island, when he died early on Tuesday morning.
Paphos, on the south west Cyprus coast[/caption]Officials said he was part of a group of holidaymakers who were out drinking before the tragic accident, local media reports.
He was found dead in the hotel garden after plunging 33ft from the third-floor.
Local cops have launched an investigation and are identifying the Brit.
Criminal activity has already been ruled out after a pathologist was brought to the scene to examine the body.
The Brit was understood to have been staying in the hotel for several days with friends before his horror fall.
Early evidence suggests alcohol could have played a part in the accident, although investigations are ongoing.
Local media said the group of holidaymakers had consumed a “large quantity of alcohol” before the fall.
Just weeks ago another British tourist fell to their death from a hotel balcony in Majorca.
The man was left “seriously injured” as he landed on his head in broad daylight after a row with friends, local media reported at the time.
The 43-year-old was quickly rushed to Son Espases Hospital in the island capital Palma for emergency medical care.
