Former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin urged her former party to avoid accusations that Vice President Kamala Harris didn't earn her job.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) called Harris a "DEI Hire," suggesting she was made vice president because she is a Black woman.
"I'm going to be respectful because you actually have a job," Whoopi Goldberg said, responding to Burchett.
"If you're going to attack people, try to do it in a factual manner. I know that is almost insane for you to think about, but a fact really makes a difference. People won't attack you if you're accurate. They'll say you're wrong, but you are beyond wrong. You're trying to send a little message about the fact that she's a woman of color. We all see it. We know what you're doing. Stop it."

Joy Behar asked why white men frequently seem to be so afraid of Black women.
"Because Black women and women of color freak people out!" exclaimed Goldberg. "I don't know why."
Behar said they likely fear "strong, powerful women."
Sunny Hostin speculated Republicans know "they're in trouble now with Kamala at the head of the ticket. I said I liked the odds of pitting a former prosecutor against a convicted felon. I like the matchup."
But it was Griffin who dropped the bomb on the GOP attack that Harris is unqualified and "slept her way to the top."
"Listen, MAGA is in full-blown meltdown right now. I don't know why, but they have known she has been running since 2020," Griffin said. "She's been on the ticket. They even use this line: 'A vote for Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris.' But they don't know what play to run, and right now they're running the worst plays they can."
She pointed to "misogynistic" attacks "calling her laughin' Kamala."
She said that, instead, they should be talking about issues like Israel or immigration.
"But mark my words, they are going to overreach," Griffin said. "They're going to attack her too hard and suburban women, who will be major in deciding in this election, will side with her. They don't want to see the meanness, chaos, calling her a DEI hire. That affects women. White women, any color. We've been told you didn't earn that by very average, mediocre white men. It does not work."
