Whispp, an assistive voice app, is a winner of Fast Company’s 2024 Innovation by Design Awards.
Dutch AI startup Whispp has quietly positioned itself as the leader in real-time assistive voice technology with an app that converts whispers into voiced speech for phone calls. Designed to make communication easier for users who stutter or live with vocal disabilities, Whispp was founded in 2018, just before the current AI wave, and remains one of the only companies in the assistive tech space to utilize audio-to-audio-based AI for phone calls and voice messages. And at a time when AI is being shoehorned into every new product, Whissp stands out as a practical application of AI, making it the winner of the 2024 Innovation by Design Awards in the accessibility category.
