A BEAUTY lover has wowed social media users with her epic glow-down, which people reckon has slashed years off her appearance.
In the recent years, there’s been a growing trend of ditching the full-glam and embracing a more natural look, whether that’s saying goodbye to a juicy lip filler pout or rocking your real hair colour.
Mum Megan took to TikTok to share the epic makeover, which people reckon makes her look ‘five yeas younger’[/caption] The blonde beauty looked unrecognisable and revealed that her friends never told her ‘how bad’ her make-up used to look like[/caption]Social media users have been racing to the popular platforms to share their jaw-dropping makeovers – and amongst them is also beauty lover Megan Stokes.
The stunning blonde recently left people open-mouthed after uploading two snaps of herself before and after the fabulous glow-down.
Although most of us have come across the phrase ”glow-up”, what is a glow-down?
Similarly to the viral ”clean girl aesthetic”, made even more popular by A-list models such as Gigi and Bella Hadid, this trend is rooted in the ”less is more” approach.
Instead of covering their faces in cakey make-up and thick eyelash extensions, a glow-down sees people enhancing their natural beauty and features.
For Megan, who regularly shares lifestyle content on her page, this meant giving up her big and fluttery eyelash extensions, as well as toning the glam look down a little.
The young mum, who posted the epic transformation yesterday, looked unrecognisable as she had replaced the long eyelashes with a bit of mascara that made her blue eyes pop.
As well as sporting a less intense eye make-up look, the blonde beauty also appears to have favourited a more clean everyday glow enhancing her natural skin.
Since being posted on the platform, where Megan has racked up close to 14k followers, the fashionista‘s video has won her almost 60k views in less than 24 hours.
Dozens of TikTok users raced to comments to share their thoughts, where numerous insisted she had slashed years off her appearance.
”You look 5 years younger! Get it girl now let’s see them brows match your root colour and it’s giving EVERYTHING,” wrote one person.
Another agreed, revealing that the epic transformation had also inspired them to say goodbye to eyelash extensions.
”Ok now I want to take my lashes off.”
WE'VE all heard of a glow-up, but what is a glow-down?
A glow-down, similar to the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ trend, is rooted in the idea of ‘less is more’.
It promotes enhancing natural beauty rather than covering it up.
With a glow-down, out are the hair extensions, fake nails and eyelash extensions.
To achieve a glow-down, women begin to ditch the fake beauty trends and opt for a natural, skincare-first approach.
”Girlllllllll your eyes are so beautiful, the lighter lash suits you so well,” a fellow user was amazed by the glow-down.
”Just commented on your other post and YES! You definitely look refreshed!” a fourth chimed in.
”Brows to match your root colour would be the icing on top of the cake!”
Speaking more about what pushed her for the change, Megan added that her friends never told her ”how bad” her make-up was.
”Clean girl aesthetic from now on,” she chuckled in a recent video.
