Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), fresh off his nomination to be former President Donald Trump's running mate, proclaimed at a rally in Virginia on Monday that President Joe Biden should be ejected from office using the 25th Amendment, according to Fox News.
"Can anybody just admit that if Joe Biden is not fit to run for president, he ain't fit to serve as President of the United States either?" said Vance. "And if Kamala Harris is too blind or too corrupt to admit to the American people that Joe Biden should have never been in there, she's not fit to serve, either. We got to get them both out of there."
The 25th Amendment allows a majority of the president's cabinet, together with the vice president, to transfer power away from the president on an acting basis when the president is deemed incapable of conducting the duties of office.
Biden, who for weeks faced mounting pressure over his health and fitness to continue his campaign, has no intention of resigning the presidency, and stated in his announcement exiting the race that he plans to redouble his focus on carrying out the remainder of his term, unburdened from having to run for office.

Harris, who is quickly consolidating the Democratic Party after securing Biden's endorsement, continues to express her faith in Biden.
Vance, a former venture capitalist who became famous for his "Hillbilly Elegy" memoir and was a never-Trump conservative before going full MAGA to run for Senate in Ohio, was according to some reports chosen by Trump's campaign solely as a means of consolidating his base under the assumption his campaign was already headed for a win, and they are now caught flat-footed at the prospect of not having Biden as an opponent anymore.
In another rally earlier in the day in his hometown of Middletown, Ohio, Vance confused some onlookers with a rant about how Democrats would probably consider his consumption of Diet Mountain Dew racist.
