ONE bride may have a blank space on her list of bridesmaids after a fight with a friend over her Taylor Swift-themed wedding.
Her best pal argued that her current choice in of music for the event was “insensitive” and would be an affront to Taylor.
Redditor Ariurcia reposted the details of the debacle on the social media platform.
They included a screenshot of the friend’s post, saying they were “truly speechless” over the argument.
“Sometimes I do think people go overboard and on the other extreme end of the parasocial spectrum when it comes to hating on Swifties… but good lord this is so unhinged,” they wrote.
In the post, the friend explained their concerns for the bride-to-be and her wedding playlist.
The original poster felt that she would insult Taylor with her current musical choices.
“One of my close friends is having a Taylor Swift-themed wedding on the 20th and we were beyond ecstatic,” the post read.
The friend said they had been helping the bride with preparations, but kept butting heads on one particular issue.
“During the ceremony she wants to play the song Lover, which is one of her favorite songs,” they said.
They understood that the bride had an affinity for the tune, but they wanted to take Taylor’s feelings into account.
“l’m trying to tell her that it would be insensitive to play Lover since Taylor specifically added it to her Denial playlist and it would be invalidating that,” they said.
“But she keeps saying it’s her wedding and she can play whatever.”
The “Denial playlist” refers to a playlist curated to encompass the feeling of heartbreak.
It’s among five collections of Taylor’s songs based on the stages of grief.
Fans speculate that Lover was added to the playlist because it touches on a relationship that did not stand the test of time.

The friend said that since fighting about it, they haven’t communicated much since.
They also added that they care about the bride and want to be there for her big day.
“I love her and I don’t want to miss her wedding,” they said.
Several Redditors gave their opinion on the Taylor Swift-themed wedding woe.
“Imagine making your wedding about a billionaire with no relationship to you,” one wrote.
“Oh my God, this is next level insane, no joke,” said another.
Others blamed the singer’s playlists for the disagreement.
“I’ve heard lots of people say they regret having Lover be their first dance at their wedding because of those stupid playlists,” someone else pointed out.
“Taylor doesn’t get to dictate what her music means to other people or change the meaning of a song because she had a breakup.”
