Leeds United do not appear to be one of the clubs in the mix for an attacker who scored 33 goals last term, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Whites want to make no mistake in their bid to return to the Premier League this season and have been signing tried and tested players.
Jayden Bogle and Joe Rodon have arrived to boost Daniel Farke’s defence, while Joe Rothwell has been added in midfield.
Leeds may also be looking to add more goals, with worries over whether Patrick Bamford can remain fit and whether Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville will stay.
There have been some suggestions that Leeds could look at Blackburn Rovers attacker Sammie Szmodics.
Szmodics was simply sensational in a more advanced role for Blackburn last season as he netted 33 goals across all competitions.
He scored against Leeds in a 1-0 win at Elland Road with a performance which is likely to have impressed Farke.
However, Leeds do not appear to be one of the clubs in the mix for Szmodics.
At present, the Premier League looks to have huge appeal for Szmodics amid interest from newly promoted Ipswich Town.
