WARWICK Castle has revealed it’s brand new medieval themed hotel which is now open.
The Warwick Castle Hotel, within the 64-acre grounds, has 60 rooms given the ‘royal treatment’.
This includes “talking” historic portraits as well as an animatronic horse with a knight.
Rooms have a nod to the Wars of the Roses, with draped canopy beds and rose motifs throughout.
Liam Bartlett, General Manager at Warwick Castle commented: “We are so proud to announce that we have now opened the doors of the Warwick Castle Hotel.
“Following years of meticulously planning every element to make each stay inspiring and memorable for our visitors, it’s incredibly exciting that we can now share our newest accommodation offering with our guests which be open all year round and offer something unique across the seasons.”
Guests can also dine at the already-existing medieval themed banquet hall, which is only for overnight guests.
Rooms at the hotel start from £159 for bed and breakfast, based on a family of four.
Or pay £199 to include all of this as well as a one-day ticket to the grounds.
Otherwise you can already stay at the attraction, with their Tower Suites, along with the Woodland Lodges and Medieval Glamping.
There is enough to do at the attraction outside of the hotel, with a number of live shows.
This includes the Wars of the Roses Live, which takes place twice a day, as well as the Zog Live Show.
The Falconers Quest is the largest bird of prey display in the UK, while kids love the Legend of the Trebuchet show, with Britain’s largest siege machine.
Outside of the shows is the Zog-themed playground, as well as a Horrible History-themed maze and The Princess Tower storytelling experience.
When you need a food break, there is The Conservatory Tea House which serves lunch and drinks, or The Undercroft Cafe for hot and cold snacks.
There are lots of gift shops too, including the Knights and Princess Shop for Zog souvenirs, or both the Coat of Arms Shop and The Kingmaker Shop.

Twice a day an exhilarating War Of The Roses jousting battle takes place in a reconstructed arena.
Part theatre and part stunt show, you’re near enough to feel the thud of the joust hitting the opponent.
My two kids, Reggie and Dot, watched open-mouthed as the riders charged about, hanging off the side of their horse or standing on their backs.
Next door to the joust is the mighty trebuchet — a gigantic catapult that Warwick boasts is the “largest siege machine in the world”.
But by far the best flying thing at Warwick Castle is the incredible bird-of-prey show.
Sixty beautiful birds, including the huge Andean condor, bearded vulture and peregrine falcon, zoom over your head in The Falconer’s Quest.
You can even book special events throughout the year such as themed dining nights, castle Ceilidh dances and the evening show Dragon Slayer, taking place next month.
