LAURA Woods and her Love Island star boyfriend Adam Collard announced they are expecting a baby in an adorable post yesterday.
The sports presenter, 37, and her reality star partner, 28, shared the news on Instagram, posting a picture of her French bulldog and a sonogram with the caption, “Hey baby.”
But, as congratulations poured in, several fans mentioned that they had already suspected their happy news.
Laura, who continues to present ITV‘s coverage of the 2024 Euros, had not posted on Instagram for several weeks, which fueled the speculation.
Both she and Adam had been open about their relationship on social media but had recently stopped posting photos together.
Laura’s last Instagram post was a selfie with former footballer Ally McCoist, where she kept the camera focused on their faces, avoiding her stomach.
During her Euros coverage in Germany, she opted for suits and double-breasted blazers instead of her usual tight-fitted dresses.
Fans noticed her wardrobe change and glowing appearance, leading to further pregnancy speculation.
One fan commented, “Woodsy glowing with health, looking double hot, absolute stunner … is she expecting???”
Adam hinted at a positive life change last week by sharing a picture of a post-it note on Instagram that read, “Just remember 5 years ago, you dreamed about where you are now.”
He also celebrated Laura’s birthday earlier this month with a series of black-and-white photos, calling her a “rockstar.”
Adam has openly expressed his desire to marry and have children with Laura.
He has said, “I’m protective, whether it’s Laura, or my family, my friends. I want to get married. I want to have kids as well. I’ve always thought, what type of person will I be? How can I protect my kids?”
Adam added that he wouldn’t expose his future children excessively on social media, wanting them to have a chance at a normal life.
Despite their eight year age difference, Adam feels that he is mature for his age and well-suited to an older partner.
He remarked, “We are not necessarily the average everyday couple.
“We’re both doing a lot and I think that I’ve always been beyond my years anyway, I think it’s probably exactly everything that I’ve needed for a long time.”
Adam, who appeared on Love Island in 2018 and 2022 and on Celebs Go Dating last year, met Laura after sending her a DM on Instagram.
He had followed her after watching a Lionesses game and messaged her about a funny meme she posted.
Although they had crossed paths before, Adam didn’t initially realize who she was.
He recounted seeing her at The Sun‘s offices and not recognizing her as Laura Woods until later.
Their relationship blossomed, and in March, Adam and Laura shared glimpses of their romantic holiday to Mexico, their second lavish trip in two months following a skiing trip in the French Alps.
Adam has expressed certainty that Laura is “The One,” contrasting with his past as a lothario.
He declared that he wouldn’t enter a relationship unless he believed the person could be “The One.”
When a fan asked if Laura was the first woman he’d featured on his social media feed, Adam replied, “The last.”
Adam and Laura confirmed their relationship in October last year.
The pair have constantly shared loved-up posts with followers online.
Laura returned to the UK this month after leading ITV’s coverage of Euro 2024.
She delighted fans with her charming hosting skills throughout the tournament.
And the TV personality even made a friend when she bonded with new Prime Minister Keir Starmer over their mutual love of Arsenal.
The pair linked up midway through the tournament when she flew back to the UK for a brief break.
They soaked up the sun during the nation’s short-lived heatwave and were all smiles as they posed for a sweet snap.
Laura’s heartwarming news comes two months after she suffered horror facial injuries after a freak accident while on holiday.
