India is set to upgrade its Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets into advanced 'Super' Sukhois. This Rs 63,000 crore project includes cutting-edge radars, avionics, longer-range weapons, and multi-sensor fusion, extending their service life to 2055. With the IAF's current shortfall in fighter squadrons, this upgrade is crucial for national defense. The plan also aligns with India’s broader defense ambitions, including developing indigenous 5th-generation fighters by 2030.
