The newly-appointed India head coach, Gautam Gambhir held a press conference on Monday. During the conference, a question about his relationship with India’s star batsman, Virat Kohli was brought up. Gambhir responded by emphasizing that his relationship with Kohli is a private matter and not a topic for television ratings.
“My relationship with Virat Kohli is between the two of us and not for TRP,” Gambhir said.
“We have had lots of discussions and everyone has the right to fight for their jersey,” Gambhir added.
Despite their past disagreements, seen mostly in the Indian Premier League, Gambhir and Kohli will now have to work together in the Indian Team. Their first assignment together will be the white-ball series against Sri Lanka starting from July 27.
