22 Kids and Counting returned back on our screens yesterday – but viewers all shared the same complained about the new series.
The Radfords, who shot to fame in 2021 when their reality show aired on Channel 5, opened their ten-bedroom home to fans for the fifth series, which premiered at the end of last week, July 21.
The monster brood, who share 22 kids, are back on our TV screens[/caption] After yesterday’s episode, viewers of the show raced to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share the same complaint[/caption]In forthcoming scenes, viewers will see dad Noel delve into his biological family history, daughter Millie dropping significant personal news, and young Casper left heartbroken as his dream of becoming a pro football player was crushed.
Noel said: “We’ve received an email from the football trial people. We were really hoping for the best that he was going to get picked by a scout and for a club and all the rest of it.
”That was his dream and our dream as well.
“But unfortunately he didn’t, he’s just not got through.
“It’s going to be upsetting, he had his heart set on it.”
Sharing the devastating news to the aspiring footie fan – who wanted to play for Liverpool FC – the dad, 53, told Casper: ”They did say they were pleased with your performance but just on that day, none of the scouts thought you were ready yet to take it that bit further to a club.”
But determined to remain hopeful, Noel reassured Casper: “One day you’ll be at Anfield playing on the pitch.”
However, just minutes into the first episode of the series, viewers rushed to social media to point out the same issue, insisting the show had become ”fake”.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person penned: “More scripted, fake nonsense. #22kidsandcounting.”
Another agreed, adding: “The latest instalment in the contrived and scripted fake life of Britain’s biggest family @channel5_tv #22kidsandcounting.”
Someone else echoed the sentimed, writing: “This actually used to be an interesting programme. Now it’s just a scripted soap.”
A fourth social media user said: “Christ! It’s not even 5 minutes in and it’s contrived and scripted already.”
The Radfords are Britain's biggest family with 22 children.
Here are the kids from eldest to youngest include:
The new episode saw the massive brood open up about their career aspirations, with one of the children aspiring to become ”a unicorn”, whilst someone else was determined to become ”a silly farmer” and another hopeful to land a career as ”a figure skater”.
Mum Sue, 49, said: “I think when I were younger I wanted to be an air hostess.”
Hubby Noel confirmed: “You did, didn’t you. yeah that’s right.
He continued: “I think the only thing I wanted when I was growing up.. I had a picture of a red Porsche on my bed.”
Fans also then discovered that the couple didn’t plan on having a whopping 22 children, with Noel claiming they’d ”always wanted three”.
Between them, the couple are parents to Chris, 34, Sophie, 29, Chloe, 28, Jack, 26, Daniel, 24, Luke, 22, Millie, 22, Katie, 21, James, 19, Ellie, 18, Aimee, 17, Josh, 16, Max, 14, Tillie, 13, Oscar, 11, Casper, 10, Hallie, eight, Phoebe, seven, Archie, six, Bonnie, four and Heidie, three.
