Get ready for a film night out of this world. The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation and Cyprus Comic Con organise the Stardust International Space & Science Film Festival – an evening of screenings and space exploration. And it is approaching soon. Mark your calendars for July 25.
Happening at the Cyprus Space Research Centre in Nicosia, the event will invite space lovers, cinephiles, scientists and anyone in between for a special occasion running from 7pm until 10pm. In collaboration with Cyprus Comic Con and the Moon Village Association, the Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation “will showcase films from around the globe that celebrate humanity’s cosmic journey, ignite imaginations, and explore the mysteries of the universe,” organisers say.
And that is not all moon enthusiasts and followers of Cyprus Comic Con have to look forward to. Another related event is coming up in July. To celebrate International Moon Day (July 20), Cyprus Comic Con and the Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation are hosting a Cosplay beach party and drone show on July 27.
Held at Lebay Hotel in Oroklini, the event invites cosplayers to come in their best outfits and win cash prizes, enjoy space talks and screenings and have fun with video games and DJ sets. What’s more, a drone show sponsored by Grizzly Entertainment will also happen as well as an art market by local creatives. Of course, as the event happens at the peak of summer (and from 2pm to midnight) refreshing drinks, cold Carlsberg beers and food options will add to the day’s fun agenda.
