Another Tottenham Hotspur departure now looks to be edging even closer after video footage saw one of Ange Postecoglou’s players spotted arriving to complete his transfer.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has landed in Marseille with his family and representatives ahead of completing his switch to the Ligue 1 side.
The Danish international was greeted by supporters waving flares, with Hojbjerg showing a moment of appreciation for the welcome.
Hojbjerg joined Spurs in 2020 in a £15m deal from Southampton, when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
He made 39 appearances for the club last season across all competitions, however, only 10 of those were starts after he found himself behind the likes of Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur in the central midfield pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs have already brought in Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray as they look to add young talent to their midfield ranks.
The move will be an initial loan with an obligation to buy, which will see Marseille pay Tottenham a total package worth €20million (£16.8m) to secure his signature.
