TRUMP has a long list of republican supporters, but there’s one area of endorsements in which the former president is surprisingly growing.
Rappers such as Amber Rose and Sexyy Red are showing their support for Trump’s campaign.
Democratic candidates such as Barack Obama and Joe Biden have had a long history of receiving endorsements from rappers and other celebrities.
In June, Vice President Kamala Harris joined Migos rapper Quavo on stage to rap against gun violence, CBS News reported.
In 2016, former President Barack Obama answered the important question of whether Kendrick Lamar or Drake would win in a rap battle.
“Kendrick, his lyrics, his last album was outstanding — best album last year,” Obama concluded.
Little did he know just how important that response would be in 2024.
Biden’s campaign has openly embraced celebrity endorsements, recognizing the impact those endorsements could have on Biden’s campaign.
“The Biden-Harris campaign will continue to welcome celebrities and influencers from across the entertainment spectrum in the fight to save Democracy from Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans,” Bidem’s campaign said, Axios reported
When Fat Joe and E-40 endorsed the president, the campaign said the men are “legends of the music industry, who understand the importance of utilizing their platforms to ensure their fan base understands the stakes of this election.”
In the past, celebrities such as Kid Rock and Toby Keith have backed republican candidates such as Donald Trump, but now more mainstream rappers are coming out in support of the former president.
On Wednesday night, Amber Rose spoke at the Republican National Convention endorsing Trump.
“Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you’re Black, white, gay or straight, it’s all love,” Rose said.
“And that’s when it hit me.
“These are my people, this is where I belong.”
Rose, who was previously married to rapper Kanye West, was praised by political commentator Candace Owens for her speech.
“It’s understandable that people had some reaction — suddenly, ‘What is Amber Rose doing here?’“ Owens said.
“It spoke to a lot of people. Her speech was a highlight of the evening.”
Owens spoke with Rose and said the model is ‘struggling.’
“She’s very much struggling right now because of this horrible limbo of realizing your friends on the left don’t want you anymore because God forbid you wear a MAGA hat.
“But then your potential friends on the right are crawling through your pages and saying, ‘Ha, ha, ha, look at this girl — she’s a conservative? She’s supposed to be on stage?'”
“Let’s just not do that. Let’s just press pause for a second and give her the space to learn,” Owens said.
Trump has received endorsements from rappers all over the country.
During his last few moments as president, he pardoned rappers Kodak Black and Lil Wayne.
Kodak Black joined the “Black Americans for Trump” coalition for the former presidents 2024 presidential campaign, CBS News reported.
Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow, two New York City rappers, spoke at Trump’s May rally in the Bronx.
“One thing I want to say, they’re always going to whisper your accomplishments and shout your failures,” Sheff G said during the rally Fox 5 reported.
“Trump’s gonna shout the wins for all of us.”
Even rising rap star Sexyy Red from St. Louis declared her support for the former president.
“Once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aww baby, we love Trump… We need him back because, baby, them checks,” she told Theo Vonn in October.
