THE battle to be crowned Euro champions may have ended in tears for England – but off the pitch there’s still plenty of drama kicking off, in the form of the ‘War of the Wags’.
After tension mounted during the Euros between Kyle Walker‘s wife Annie Kilner and his former ‘mistress’ and mother to two of his children Lauryn Goodman, reality star Lauryn faced the footballer in court.
In a nod to her son Kairo, four, Lauryn was pictured outside wearing a necklace with the initials “KW” – also Kyle’s initials, a move which will no doubt incense his currently-estranged wife, Annie.
It’s not the first time there’s been drama on the sidelines between the Wags, and there have also been plenty of feuds between footballers themselves, too.
From high profile court cases, savage insults to ‘deadly alliances’, here we take a closer look at some of the biggest spats between the sports star spouses, and uncover what really went down….
Despite speculation over whether they would come face to face as they both attended England matches during the recent tournament, Annie and Lauryn thankfully managed to avoid each other as they both supported the team from the stands.
And it’s a good thing too, given the extent of the bad blood between the two of them.
In what can only be described as a love triangle so messy it could give even the best soap story a run for its money, Annie and Lauryn’s feud shows no sign of slowing.
Annie, now 32, met Kyle, 34, when she was 16 and he was 18 playing for his hometown club Sheffield United, and they now have four sons – Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and baby Rezon.
However during a short separation, Kyle and Lauryn had a “brief” relationship in summer 2019 which resulted in the birth of their son, before Annie and Kyle secretly wed in November 2021.
Their relationship then came crashing down after it was revealed Kyle had fathered yet another secret love child with Lauryn – a daughter, now 11 months.
This was reportedly only revealed when Annie received a message “out of the blue” from Lauryn saying: “I don’t have two baby daddies — I have one.”
They’ve made a series of savage digs at each other over the years.
Both Lauryn, pictured, and Annie have taken swipes at each other over the years[/caption]Shortly after the birth of Kyle’s first love child, Annie posted a ‘savage’ quote on her Instagram stories hitting out at “disrespectful men”, saying: “A man who disrespects a loyal woman deserves a heartless h**.”
Lauryn then publicly slammed Annie and Kyle in May 2021 when his new football boots had his eldest three sons’ names on – but not Kairo’s.
According to the Mail Online, Annie has been able to rely on support from her fellow Wags, including Charlotte Tripper, who she has reportedly formed a ‘deadly alliance’ with.
Meanwhile Lauryn is said to be being supported by Wag Rebekah Vardy.
It’s not the only bust-up Annie has been involved in arguably as a result of her husband’s behaviour.
Last year after Kyle Walker drunkenly flashed and flirted with two women in a bar, a feud erupted between Rebekah Vardy and Annie too.
Rebekah hit out at Annie in an Instagram post, where she called her a “doormat” and accused her of “playing the victim.”
She’s always disliked Becky but now she despises her and doesn’t care who knows it.”

After Annie told pals she was furious over a post Rebekah had made that she believed appeared to make fun of her turmoil, Rebekah posted: “Funny though isn’t it that it’s my name she wants to use rather than the people actually laughing at her for being a doormat.
“Art of deflection to a T… great at playing the victim is our Annie.”
Pals of Annie then hit back in her defence, saying: “She’s always disliked Becky but now she despises her and doesn’t care who knows it.”
Rebekah’s fall-out with Annie was tame though when compared to the now infamous ‘Wagatha Christie’ court case she was embroiled in with Wayne Rooney‘s wife, Coleen.
After years of allegations and arguments, Jamie Vardy‘s wife tried and failed to sue Coleen for libel over “untrue and unjustified accusations” that she leaked false stories to the press.
The saga all kicked off after Coleen turned ‘detective’ to see who was spying on her private Instagram stories before publicly announcing: “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
Evidence in court revealed details of Vardy’s Peter Andre ‘chipolata’ jibes, secret celebrity love triangles and foul-mouthed WhatsApp messages, and it was enough for the whole case was turned into a TV drama.
The case was eventually won by Coleen, and Becky was ordered to pay up to £1.5 million to Wayne Rooney‘s wife in legal fees.
She’s known for her elegance and calm composure, but actually in her early days as a Wag, Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham had more than her share of spats.
She even reportedly clashed with singer Cheryl at one point, when she was married to footballer Ashley Cole.
While they appear to be on good times now, Cheryl was reportedly devastated when she suffered a public heartache in 2008 after Cole was accused of having an affair with hairdresser Aimee Walton – which he denied.
Cheryl later claimed Victoria wasn’t there for her – a claim Victoria has never commented on.
Discussing how Victoria didn’t reach out, Cheryl said: “David’s mum is friends with Ashley’s mum, she (Victoria) was in my hotel room the whole time during the World Cup.
“We’ve had barbecues together — so I was quite shocked by that.”
NOW isn't the first time Lauryn has caused a stir by wearing the necklace which bears the initials 'KW'...
IT made its first appearance shortly after the birth of her son, given to her by her younger sister Chloe Goodman, who is famous herself for stints on Ex On The Beach and Celebrity Big Brother.
Lauryn was quick to explain the initials read ‘KW’ because her son’s real name wasn’t Junior, as she had previously said.
The ‘Junior’ nickname suggested at the time that the baby could be called Kyle like his dad.
However, it was revealed in March 2021 that the tot was in fact called Kairo.
The mum-of-two was papped wearing the necklace throughout her first love child scandal, including when at the supermarket and on holiday.
When she revealed his name, Lauryn defended giving him his dad’s surname.
“Single mums have questioned why Kairo’s surname is Walker because they say they don’t want to give the father the satisfaction of them having their surname,” she said.
“It was a mutual decision to name him Walker and I honoured that.”

There’s also very, very little love lost between Victoria and model Katie Price, who has just had her 17th boob job.
It allegedly kicked off when Victoria and one of her pals sang 1999 hit Who Let The Dogs Out? at Katie.
Katie – who had eldest son Harvey after a romance with David Beckham’s teammate Dwight Yorke – said: “Years ago she sang the song in the Manchester United lounge and that’s where it started.”
Jordan does full frontals with her crotch and t**s out and she says I’m a bad influence by wearing a fake ring? I think she’s vile.”

When Victoria wore a fake lip ring on stage, Katie criticised her, saying: “It was a really pathetic thing to do.
“I have got an 11-year-old sister whose age group love to copy what pop stars do so I know the effect she has on fans.”
Victoria hit back: “Jordan does full frontals with her crotch and t**s out and she says I’m a bad influence by wearing a fake ring? I think she’s vile.”
Katie then responded, saying: “She’s got a great-looking husband, a little boy, and all the money in the world.
“She hasn’t got the looks, but you can’t have everything.”
They used to be pals, but Nicola McLean and Danielle Lloyd epically fell out after Nicola accused footballer Jamie O’Hara’s ex-wife of only marrying him because she wanted to be a WAG.
Nicola, who wed footballer Tom Williams in 2009, appeared alongside Jamie on the 2017 series of Celebrity Big Brother, three years after he’d split from Danielle.
Taking a swipe at his ex, she said while in the house: “I don’t think any wives or girlfriends would call themselves WAGs, if they did I’d think they were the biggest d***head in the whole entire world.”
Austin Armacost replied: “You must have met girls who, that was a goal, to become a WAG?” to which Nicola retorted: “No, Jamie did though, and married one!”
Prior to that, the former pals fell out when Danielle named her new pet Chihuahua ‘Rocky’ – the same name as one of Nicola’s sons – and Nicola then accused Danielle of ‘playing the victim’ over the bizarre row.
Speaking to the Daily Star in 2022, Danielle revealed they hadn’t spoken since their feud, saying: “I’ve not heard from her, thank God.
“Do you know what, I think as you grow up you get over things and move on, it’s just petty really, isn’t it?”
