While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are a rather controversial couple, many people consistently praise them on how they handle their blended family, and co-parenting with their exes. And amid Lopez and Affleck’s alleged split, Lopez has been seen out and about even more with his and Jennifer Garner’s eldest daughter, Violet.
So, how does Affleck feel about this? Sources told Entertainment Tonight that he’s in support of it.
They “are trying to make this transition as easy as possible and be gentle on their children. They don’t want to make things more upsetting than they already have been,” the source said to the outlet.
Along with that, Lopez and Violet “have gotten close throughout Jen and Ben’s relationship, and maintaining that closeness is important to everyone.”
“Ben certainly doesn’t want to cause any strain between Jen and Violet, and he is in support of them spending time together,” they added. “It’s a little tricky for him, but both Jen and Ben want all their kids to be happy, regardless of the issues they are facing in their marriage.”
So it seems Affleck is totally fine with his daughter Violet and Lopez bonding as much as they have the past few weeks, all in the name of co-parenting. Which, let’s face it, we love to see healthy parenting and co-parenting happening.
For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, with whom Lopez has become the stepmother to. Their kids are named Violet, born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, 15, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012.
Lopez is also the mother to twins Emme and Max, born on Feb 2008.
Lopez and Affleck fell in love on the set of the film Gigli. They appeared in a couple more projects together, and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.
Fast forward to 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony, but as of July 2024, it seems clear that trouble is definitely afoot in their romance.
