Writers everywhere are dusting off their whiteboards and coming up with pitches; Kate Hudson just said she and Matthew McConaughey are both “totally open” to a How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days sequel— as long as they’re both game for what another chapter has in store. She tells Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, “I think they’re always thinking about [a sequel]. All that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I would be into the script. I think we’re both totally open, but it just never happened.” In 2019, Quibi and Paramount approved a remake of the rom-com from Guy Branum, but it never came to fruition. Maybe Hudson will meet a fortune teller in the next few days in order to get the ball rolling.
