Ramesh Mendola, the MLA, believes a person's name is their identity and customers have the right to know it. He has written to the Chief Minister urging the government to make this mandatory in Madhya Pradesh. This demand comes in the wake of an order in Uttar Pradesh requiring eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route to display owners' names, which has faced criticism for targeting Muslim traders.
