Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas condemned on Friday a video posted on social media by the Turkish defence ministry showcasing the Turkish army and Turkish navy military exercises.
In statements on the sidelines of an event to commemorate and honour missing persons at the Panorama of Missing Persons in Kornos, Larnaca, Palmas said “they celebrate 50 years of illegality with the most provocative way and we mourn those who fell and those missing.”
“These are two opposite approaches, all of this is beyond any doubt absolutely condemnable” he stressed, underlining that the Republic of Cyprus is a legitimate state of the international community, democratic, member state of the EU and most of the international organizations.”
“We will continue to fight and we are trying for a solution to the Cyprus problem so as to justify the memory of those who fell and those missing” he added.
