The Antimatière Collection by Studio HAOS is a meticulously curated ten-piece set featuring an armchair, bench, coffee table, console, daybed, table, shelf, wall lights, desk, and vase. Unveiled at the inaugural edition of CONTRIBUTIONS 2023 in Paris, this collection marks the studio’s fifth since its founding in 2017.
Studio HAOS addresses contemporary design challenges by eschewing mechanized mass production and extravagant craftsmanship. This collection, characterized by 40×40 aluminum tubes and zinc sheets, appeals to designers who favor textured, unfinished materials over glossy finishes. The pieces capture the essence of high-tech architecture on a smaller scale, emphasizing structural integrity. This approach results in a collection that values substance, presenting elegance through serene lines and subtle emotions, and pursuing new craftsmanship.

The story of Studio HAOS is a testament to the power of passion and creativity. Founded by Sophie Gelinet and Cédric Gepner in 2017, the studio is a celebration of modesty and restraint, evoking emotions through their designs. Despite their lack of formal training in furniture design, their shared passion led to the creation of their first lamp, which evolved into a comprehensive collection and, ultimately, the establishment of Studio HAOS. Their workshop integrates design, prototyping, and production, utilizing accessible materials to create standout yet understated pieces that exude raw poetry with a modern touch. The duo was recognized among AD’s 100 best designers selected in 2023. Now based in Lisbon, they continue to design and manufacture distinctive furniture and lighting, with their work exhibited in galleries across Paris, New York, London, Seoul, and Antwerp.
