It’s still too early but there are always tea leaves to be read
In this video, Adam Finkelstein, Eric Bossi and Travis Branham touch on a couple of Duke recruiting situations.
One situation that everyone is following closely are the Boozer twins. The general perception is that Miami leads but the panel says that the race may have tightened up. The other schools they mention are Duke and Florida. They also say that the brothers may or may not end up at the same school. This is nothing new of course - they’ve said that for some time themselves that that might be possible.
Duke recently offered Braylon Mullins of Greenfield, Indiana. The panel thinks he may take seven or eight visits and it’s still quite early. However, they think that Indiana and UConn may have a slight lead. He’s really still emerging and that race could be fluid.
In a couple of ACC notes, Boston College got a commitment from 6-4 Akbar Waheed and Virginia has offered 6-8 Jack McCaffery of Iowa City.
If Iowa and McCaffrey ring a bell, well winner, winner, chicken dinner: he’s the son of Hawkeyes coach Fran McCaffrey, who, long ago and far away, was a Wake Forest Demon Deacon who was known as White Magic.
The magic wore off and he transferred to Penn, where he broke into coaching.
Somewhat surprisingly, McCaffrey has never made it as far as the Sweet Sixteen
