TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards were announced on July 17 and "The Gilded Age" secured six of those nominations. The HBO series filmed in the Capital Region for its first two seasons, and is returning this summer to film the third season.
“The Gilded Age” is a series set in 1882, starring Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, and Carrie Coon. The show follows the social war between the old ways and new systems in 1880s New York City.
"The Gilded Age" came to Troy in May 2021 to film the first season and then came to Troy, Albany, and Cohoes to film the second season in 2022. For its third season, the show is set to film in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy throughout August.
"The Gilded Age" previously won an Emmy in 2022 for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More) for the episode "Never The New." The 76th Emmy Awards is set to air on ABC on Sunday, September 15 at 8 p.m.
