KATIE Price has confessed to boozing and taking cocaine before her horror drink-driving crash.
In September 2021 the former glamour model, 46, was rushed to hospital after her BMW flipped onto its side during the accident.
Writing in her new autobiography This Is Me, Katie admitted she’d “had some friends round for a few hours” on the night of the smash.
She said: “One of them had some coke on them and, yes, I had a little bit of it, probably a couple of lines, it wasn’t even a lot. I had some alcohol too.”
But the mum-of-five insisted that it was a call from her eldest daughter Princess, 17 – who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre – that made her jump in the car.
Katie said: “I could tell she was upset so I asked her what was wrong. My daughter was ringing to tell me she wasn’t allowed to see me and my heart just broke.”
Admitting that she “wasn’t thinking straight”, Katie added: “I needed to go right that minute and I didn’t care that it was 2am. I didn’t care about anything anymore.”
Katie was spared jail for the crash and was instead handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year, 100 hours community service and ordered to attend 20 rehab sessions.
Elsewhere in her new memoir Katie reflects on the death of one of her animals, after a petition to stop her owning pets recently soared to more than 36k signatures.
Recalling the moment they discovered Princess’ pooch Rollo had died, Katie said: “The breeder we had bought the dog from had given us CBD oil to give this dog and I don’t know if Princess had given it too much or what.
“But we knew it would sleep a lot, and that day it had gone under the reclining chair to sleep and no-one had realised and it had been crushed.
“We took it to the vets when it died and paid for an autopsy because we wanted to understand what happened and they said breeders should never have given us CBD to use.”
Katie recently told The Sun that the new book carries a warning to readers because of the traumatic content.
She said: “There’s actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD from reading it, because it’s quite a serious book.”
