This might sound like a sales pitch or something, but I'm being 100% sincere when I say that the GoPro Hero12 is the greatest thing I've ever owned. I care about you, so I want you to own one as well.
The deal is fine—25% off isn't the steepest price chop, but it's nothing to sneeze at either—but the important part is that you get this camera. It's worth it at full price.
Most tech products are designed to make your life better, but they rarely succeed. Once the allure of the new wears off, they become just another set of batteries to charge. The GoPro is different. It actually improved my life.
I like taking pictures and video with my GoPro so much that I've been going to interesting places I wouldn't have, just to have something to photograph.
I went to a skateboard park in Inglewood with my friend Bill and we hung out with professional skateboarder Haden McKenna. His friend called me "Big Dog." I wouldn't have done that, were it not for the camera.
I also went to this beautiful Buddhist temple in North Hollywood and became enlightened. Not really, but the boat noodle soup I ate in the parking lot food court was so spicy and delicious I came fairly close.
The GoPro Hero 12 is tiny and light, and you can mount it to literally anything. It's waterproof, so you can even take it into the ocean in Santa Barbara and make tiny waves look extremely dramatic with slow motion:
I took nighttime bike rides to check out the fast-motion:
These are the best things I've done lately. If the 5.3K60 Ultra HD Video, 27MP Photos, HDR, 1/1.9" image sensor aren't enough to convince you, how about this: you can use it to trick people into giving you free drinks.
A few weeks ago, I was at The Green Room with my wife and my sister, and I was messing around with my camera, which I do literally all the time now. I have the Creator Bundle (not on sale for Prime Day). My GoPro was mounted on a Volta tripod, and this setup inspired our waiter ask if I was an "influencer." I said, "Sure!" instead of telling him that I influence nothing.
A few minutes later, dude came back to our table with an elaborate cocktail, complete with a bouquet of flowers, dry-ice and a mirror (it was themed after Sleeping Beauty) on the house. No one ever buys me drinks, and this was a $21 dollar cocktail. I felt like Sleeping Beauty herself. Check it out:
There's no free lunch, though. I guess the idea was that I post a picture of it somewhere and people see it. Wait, I just did that. Wait, am I an influencer? Maybe. And I never would have known it if I didn't carry this camera everywhere.
In conclusion: this is a good camera for a good price and I think you will like it.
