The Royals selected Florida first baseman/pitcher Jac Caglianone with the #6 pick, and drafted left-handed pitcher David Shields out of Mt. Lebanon High School in Pennsylvania with the #41 overall pick in the second round. The Royals will have the second pick in each round, with the following picks today:
