Ronald Reagan was attacked in 1981 when he was the US president. It was called a security failure. When Donald Trump came under attack, a similar security lapse has been identified. Former Secret Service agent Tim McCarthy, who defended Reagan from a gunman, has compared the two shooting incidents.
