A WOMAN has revealed the tiny tweak she made to Vinted items that had been listed for months to make them sell straight away.
Vinted is an online marketplace where people can buy and sell second hand clothes, shoes and accessories.
It’s completely free to upload clothes to the app and Vinted does not take a cut of sellers’ profits and instead charges buyers a small fee to purchase each item.
Brogan Sutcliffe had 60 items listed on her Vinted page, and some of them hadn’t sold for months.
After watching a TikTok video where a woman recommended deleting and relisting all of your items to make sales, Brogan picked five random items that she had been struggling to sell.
She deleted these five items, and then relisted them straight away, using exactly the same photos.
Within two days, Brogan has sold three out of the five-item.
“With two of these, nobody even offered me anything they just bought them straight away”, she said.
The savvy seller revealed that she had previously tried to lower the price of these items, and it hadn’t worked, so she relisted them at the same price as they were before she deleted them.
“Give this a go, because it can get rid of some of your items that have been sat there for months”, she said.
Brogan’s video, which was posted under the username @brogansutcliffee, has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up over 93,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
One person said: “I’ve been telling people to do this, it works!
“It also helps to rearrange the pictures and upload on Friday night as people scroll at weekends”.
Another person suggested: “Instead of deleting your items, hide them and then re-upload then so then if your older ones do better with favourites they’re still there.”

Online marketplaces like Vinted and Depop have millions of users across the UK, with the cost-of-living crisis only increasing their popularity.

According to the popular platform, sellers do not have to pay tax on earnings they make from the site.
This, HMRC stated, is because selling personal items through platforms like Vinted is not itself taxable.
”If the money a member makes on Vinted over a year is less than the amount they paid for the items they are selling, then there is no tax to pay,” a Vinted spokesperson explained.
”Generally, only business sellers “trading” for profit might need to pay tax.
”A tax-free allowance of £1,000 has been in place since 2017 for people who trade for profit.”
