According to Football Insider, West Ham United have fought off interest from Tottenham Hotspur to keep hold of academy starlet, Chinaza Nwosu, who has now agreed terms on a professional contract at the London Stadium.
Nwosu is reportedly viewed as one of the brightest young prospects in the Hammers academy, with the midfielder impressing for the club’s Under-18s last season despite only being just 16 years of age.
The teenager, who was named on the bench in their FA Youth Cup third-round clash last season, is thought to be the subject of interest from several top-flight sides, including Spurs.
Football Insider say that Tottenham had been in contact with the youngster regarding a move across London while Manchester City and Manchester United are also keen on the player.
However, West Ham fought hard and managed to fend off the interest from those clubs to keep hold of the starlet.
It is revealed that the midfielder has agreed on the terms of a contract with Julen Lopetegui’s men, which he will sign as soon as he turns 17 next year.

While Nwosu might have verbally agreed a deal with West Ham, clubs would feel that the youngster is gettable until he has officially put pen to paper on a professional contract, which he cannot do until he turns 17.
Tottenham have the same issue with Mikey Moore, with the Lilywhites counting down the days until the winger turns 17.
