Ivan Toney’s agent has informed Brentford that the striker wants to join Manchester United this summer.
Manchester United are expected to confirm the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for a fee of €42.5m in the coming hours.
However, the club are keen to bring in one more forward and have been looking at several options in the market.
It has been claimed that Manchester United are interested in exploring a deal to sign Toney from Brentford this summer.
According to German daily Bild, the England international is also keen to move to Old Trafford in the ongoing transfer window.
He is in the final year of his contract at Brentford and wants to move on from the London club this summer.
The England international welcomes the interest from Manchester United and his agent has informed Brentford about the striker’s willingness to become a Red Devil.
The Bees are still likely to demand a steep fee despite his contract situation before agreeing to sell Toney this summer.
And other clubs could also yet make a move to try to secure the England striker.
