Dark, weird stories about rich kids — Emerald Fennell can’t get enough of them! Following Saltburn, the director is set to helm an adaptation of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. (Think she read our story?) Fennell tweeted a poster for the film, featuring the lines “Be with me always,” “Take any form,” and “Drive me mad.” She’s the latest in a long line of directors to take on Brontë’s 1847 gothic novel, after Andrea Arnold in 2011, Peter Kosminsky in 1992, Robert Fuest in 1970, and William Wyler in 1939, not to mention a slew of non-English adaptations and a lost 1920 silent film. And Emerald, if you’re reading this, too, we just wanted to let you know: You now have the opportunity to make another Kate Bush song go viral. And oh, sure, to make something more bizarre and sexy than Saltburn, too.
