OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — McIntyre Law Chopper 4 was first over the scene Friday morning following a road rage incident that took a turn with bullets being fired.
Eastern Avenue near the off ramp of I-240 was filled with officers and firetrucks.
Police say a case of road rage ended with gunfire.
Investigators believe the suspect shot one time and injured two victims. The suspect allegedly kept driving, according to Oklahoma City Police.
Dillon Quirk, the Oklahoma City Police Department Public Information Officer spoke with News 4 after the incident.
"Two people were injured inside that vehicle. One from gunfire, the other, not sure if it was gunfire or glass or shrapnel from that gunfire," said Quirk.
Officials confirmed the two victims were a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman.
"They were taken to an area hospital at this time, expected to survive from those injuries," says Quirk.
While the investigators searched the scene for clues, authorities continue the search for the suspect.
Oklahoma City Police say the suspect was driving a dark colored S-U-V, possibly northbound on Eastern.
Police say they have not yet arrested anyone in the case so far.
