DEL VALLE, Texas (KXAN) -- The Del Valle Independent School District announced it is searching for a new superintendent, the district said in a news release Friday.
Del Valle ISD serves a total of 11,293 students and is located southeast of Austin, the release said.
"We are committed to finding a leader who will build on our district's achievements and drive our vision and mission forward. Our ideal candidate will embody our motto, 'Whatever It Takes,' and lead Del Valle ISD to new heights, "Del Valle ISD Board President Shaira Ramzanali said in the release.
"The ideal candidate for the Superintendent position will be a seasoned educator with a blend of academic and operational experiences, understanding the pathways to successful student achievement," the district said in the release.
Furthermore, the candidate will "actively collaborate with local government and community services," prioritize fiscal responsibility and align "resources to support teaching and learning effectively," the district said.
