SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady officials have issued a road work advisory for Maxon Road Extension and surrounding streets on the northside. Milling and paving is set to start the week of July 15 and continue into the week of July 22, weather permitting.
Maxon Road Extension is a primary road for drivers entering and leaving the city, said officials. Schenectady's paving contractor has put together a traffic control plan where traffic can continue in a single lane on Maxon Road.
Parking on these streets will not be available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Officials said Alexander, Hudson, and Van Der Bogart Streets will only be open for local traffic between Van Vranken Avenue and Maxon Road during the work. Drivers are asked to use caution on the detour routes on Seneca Street and Van Vranken Avenue.
