Other than a few pop up storms once again tonight, we will be mostly clear. Storm development south of I-70 after sunset. Temperatures staying mild this evening, we will fall into the middle 70s for the overnight low. With winds from the southeast near 10 MPH.
HEAT ADVISORY: Heat advisory will go into effect at 1pm Saturday and remain in effect until 8pm Monday for all of Northeastern Kansas.
Expect highs to top off in the upper 90s for our Saturday. Many locations further west of Topeka will easily hit triple digits by tomorrow afternoon. Heat indices jumping to triple digits by the early afternoon. Moderate winds out of the south will only help bring in hotter weather for this weekend.
Our next several days look to be mostly dry as mostly sunny weather dominates the Central Plains. By Sunday we are looking at temperatures in the lower 100s. Heat indices near 110 degrees by the start of next week. Find ways to stay cool as high temperatures will linger into Tuesday. Finally a relief from the heat arriving after a cooler front on Tuesday night. Next rain chances arriving Wednesday.
