Perrie Edwards is speaking out about her former bandmate Jesy Nelson.
The 31-year-old “Forget About Us” singer and the 33-year-old “Bad Thing” singer were previously in the UK girl group Little Mix together for several years, before Jesy announced her departure from the group in December 2020.
In a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Perrie recalled a story of the two going out together, and she revealed where their relationship stands today.

“We don’t talk, and haven’t done for a long time,” Perrie told the mag. “It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking. But sometimes these things happen and people decide they want to part ways, and that’s absolutely fine. I would rather it went differently, but you can’t control how things go.”
Perrie also opened up about a night she went out with Jesy after her breakup with Zayn Malik.
“Our glam could sometimes take four hours, so our call time was 4am or 5am,” she shared. “I remember Jesy and I were having the best night, and kept saying, ‘We really should be getting home now.’ It was just so fun. We ended up rocking up to [UK talk show] Sunday Brunch after a McDonald’s and we were still drunk. We were giddy and delirious.”
In October 2021, nearly a year after her departure from Little Mix, Jesy revealed if she had spoken to the other girls and gave more insight into why she left.
Shortly after that, Perrie, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall unfollowed Jesy on social media following accusations of blackfishing.
In October 2023, Leigh-Anne said the remaining Little Mix members were “traumatized” when Jesy left.
